New Delhi, January 28, 2026 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address the prestigious annual National Cadet Corps (NCC) PM Rally today at the Cariappa Parade Ground. Scheduled for approximately 3:30 PM, the event serves as the grand finale of the month-long NCC Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2026, which brings together the finest cadets from every corner of the country.

The rally is a long-standing tradition where the Prime Minister reviews the guard of honor and interacts with the next generation of India’s leaders, emphasizing the values of “Unity and Discipline.”

This year’s rally centers on the theme “Rashtra Pratham – Kartavya Nishtha Yuva” (Nation First – Youth Devoted to Duty). The theme reflects the government’s push to integrate the youth into the “Viksit Bharat 2047” vision, focusing on character building, national commitment, and the spirit of selfless service.

The 2026 edition of the PM Rally is notable for its scale and diversity, showcasing the evolving face of the Indian youth. A total of 2,406 NCC cadets from all 17 Directorates across India participated in this year’s camp. Underscoring the “Nari Shakti” initiative, the camp included 898 girl cadets, one of the highest representations in recent years.

Youth ambassadors and officers from 21 foreign countries (totaling 207 participants) are attending the rally as part of the Youth Exchange Programme (YEP), fostering global camaraderie.

A vibrant cultural program titled “Rashtriya Rangshala” will be performed by cadets and National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers, celebrating India’s rich heritage and the role of youth in social service.

The NCC PM Rally is more than just a ceremonial parade; it is a platform for the Prime Minister to share his vision directly with the youth. In previous years, PM Modi has utilized this stage to discuss digital transformation, environmental conservation through initiatives like “Puneet Sagar Abhiyaan,” and the importance of self-reliance (Aatmanirbhar Bharat).

Earlier this month, Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan inaugurated the camp, describing the cadets as the “face of New India.” Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also visited the camp recently, praising the NCC as the nation’s “second line of defense” and highlighting their voluntary service during national relief operations.

As the final major event of the Republic Day calendar, the PM Rally marks the end of weeks of rigorous competition, including the “Best Cadet” awards and cultural contests. After the address, the Prime Minister will award medals and trophies to the top-performing cadets and directorates, officially bringing the 2026 Republic Day Camp to a close.
